Agriculture’s entire food chain could account for up to 37 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions. But as the FT’s Alice Ross explains, investment in innovations such as lab-grown meat and waste apps, or sustainability-linked loans could have a significant impact on emissions. However, compared to some other industries, in sustainable technology and finance, it has been a bit of a laggard.
