Tackling Dutch agriculture’s emissions headache

The Netherlands is the world’s second largest exporter of food. But right now, its livestock sector is facing a controversial environmental challenge: reducing its nitrogen emissions. Along with that, farmers also have some tough longer term climate change targets to hit. The FT’s Mehreen Khan finds out how they’re tackling the problems and whether their strategies are working.
